Dallas High School Teacher Faces Criminal Charges
In some rather sordid criminal defense related news, Why is it there are so many sick people out there? The worst of the worst are the ones who do harm to children. So many of these predators position themselves in close proximity to their victims.
These kinds of people have always been around, but never before in our history have we been made so aware of them, and never have the things they do been exposed to so much daylight. Never before in our history have we gone after them the way we do now. As an aside if you are in search of a solid Dallas criminal attorney then by all means take a look at this leading firm, and they also do DWI as well as DUI lawyer cases as well. All in all, this reminds me of a recent Seattle case.
According to the U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s website story; Dallas high school teacher arrested on federal child pornography charge, posted June 9, 2010, a Dallas English teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School was arrested last Tuesday in a criminal complaint.
The charges allege that the teacher was receiving child pictures. The arrest was described in an announcement issued by U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas. The charges are under investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). If you are in need of a Seattle DUI attorney then you may want to check in with this particular firm, they are quite good, and have been handling DWI and DUI related cases in Seattle for some time now.
The teacher in question is 44 year old Jon Leslie Lyons, who appeared on Wednesday in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeff Kaplan. Lyons sits in jail as he awaits a June 11detention hearing.
ICE’s website reports that according to the affidavit filed with the complaint, last month a Dallas Independent School District (DISD) employee informed ICE that child pornography may have been exposed on a DISD computer being used by Jon Lyons.
The website also reported that shortly afterward, an ICE special agent met with the DISD employee who contacted authorities after seeing images of girls
